Crunching the numbers: Warrenton looks to keep its undefeated season alive this Friday with a home game against the St. Charles High Pirates. War Machine has stacked up decent points knocking of bigger school rivals Liberty, Troy, and Washington. By the way, Troy is literally twice the student body of Warrenton (1,958 vs 900). When the Big Red One offense hits the field, they are led by senior QB Brenden Smith, who leads the GAC North with 7 TD passes. Smith should easily eclipse his 11 TD pass total from last season. As a unit, the Warrior offense is putting up 393 total yards per game, 166 yards passing and 226 yards on the ground. St. Charles will need to build on the week 2 Pirate record breaking passing performance from QB Cody Thorne, when he put up 421 yards and 5 TDs in the air. The Warrior defense has not faced any significant pass attack yet. If Pirate wide outs Dominic Pointer (478 yds rec) and Dahvonte Henry (255 yds, 3 TDs) can have early game success, it could put the Warrior defense on their heels, opening up running lanes for RB David Roberts (88yds/3 TDs). Prediction: I think War Machine continues their path of destruction, sinking the Pirates; Warrenton 45, St. Charles 24.
